StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-Jun 06, 2011 – Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has done what not many other Bollywood heroes have ever done before. Ranbir Kapoor has shot for an item song for an upcoming Bollywood film, Chillar Party. The song has been composed by Amit Trivedi and is a blend of street instruments, local voices, dialect which has been sung by Trivedi himself and his mother. The song has been choreographed by Bosco-Caeser who have mixed street with contemporary form of dancing. Ranbir is extremely thrilled with the way the dance number has turned up and is playing an active role in the edit sessions of the song to get the perfect act. Ranbir will be seen as a tapori in the song Ranbir who creates a friendship bond amongst the kids to make them comfortable.
Sources say, “Ranbir is very happy with the final dance number choreographed by Bosco Caesar, he wants to sit and watch the song once again, this time under full scrutiny. He wants to make sure that every single move is impeccable and fun to watch. Ranbir is going the extra mile to make sure that his first item number doesn’t meet any glitch and wins him the audience’s applause.”
Chillar Party is a kids’ film, which is produced by Salman Khan along with UTV Spot Boy and directed by debutant Vikas Bahl. Chillar Party is the story of a gang of street kids (Jhanghia, Akram, Secondhand, Panauti, Silencer, Aflatoon and Shaolin) who are innocent yet feisty, and how their lives change with the advent of two strangers Fatka and Bheedu. Salman Khan has been actively involved in promoting his first film as a producer, right from writing a script for introducing the characters to designing the posters for the film. If stories are to be believed, the film will be premiering at the IIFA Awards this year in Toronto in June.
